God is with me

So, I was helping in a preschool this morning, and I was in the lesson with some of the kids.
There are a few truths that I think we forget as we get older.
God is with me where ever I go.
Jesus Loves Me.
Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
We forget these, because society usually teaches us to forget them.
They tell us that Jesus isn't real, that He doesn't really care about us.
LIARS!!!!!!!
I know He loves and cares about me.
I've met Him.
I know Him.
We need to remember these truths.
Maybe, even though we say we know more than these kids, they can teach us something.
Maybe, they can teach us what it means to love Jesus.

Moving On...

Tonight is Graduation.
No, I'm not graduating. I've still got a few years here before I graduate.
But some of my closest friends are.
There's a time in everyone's life when they meet someone and develop a relationship with them, only to have them vanish from their lives.
And that leaves a hole.
A hole in the woodwind section.
A hole in the worship band.
A hole in our Bible class.
A hole in our hearts.
Thankfully, with Facebook, we can keep up with those people.
But it's not the same as seeing them face to face.
Lately, I've found myself wondering,
"Who's going to make sure I'm alright during band practice?"
"Who's going to help lead worship band?"
"Who am I going to run to talk to after school?"

We all have those people.

But God always brings someone to fill that hole.
Those people can never be replaced, but God puts someone there to check on us at band practice.
God puts someone there to help with worship band.
God puts someone there to talk to.

Maybe people leaving is a sign that it's time for us to step up.
We can be the one to check on people at band practice.
We can help lead worship band.
And We can be there to talk to someone.

So, as sad as it is to see them go, We can be confident that God will bring someone just as awesome to replace them (I used replace for lack of a better word. We all know that those people can't be replaced.)

So as the old familiar tune of "Pomp and Circumstance" begins, let's remember that this shouldn't be a time of sadness. Those people are moving on, towards whatever God has next in their plan. Shouldn't we celebrate with them? It may be a scary looking road ahead, but we'll make it.

"In all things, we know that God works for the good of those who love Him."

A little more about me...

One thing most people don't know about me is that I'm a songwriter.

For me, songs are a way to express what I'm feeling in my own words. With my own music.

But sometimes, you don't even need words.

Below is a link to my original song, "Without Words."

About Me... And The Craziness that ensues.

Helloooooooooo!!!!
This is my blog! (duh)
Sooo... about me...
Well, first, Be warned: I am insane.
My main passions in life are Music and God (hence the title of this blog...)

Music:
When I say music, I mean Christian music (mostly). Switchfoot, The Almost, Chris Tomlin, Family Force Five, Flyleaf, etc...

God:
I am deeply in love with my Savior, Jesus Christ. I respect everyone elses opinion, but I honestly am not going to listen to them go on about how Jesus was just another "good guy." I just kinda stare at them and think "He MADE you. How do you doubt His existance? Do you not believe in your parents either?"

So, one thing that combines my two love is WORSHIP BAND!!!! I get to jam out and praise Jesus at the same time!! WOOT WOOT!!!

Anyhoo, this is the first of hopefully many more posts. God bless!!!
